Retail sales grew by 5.2 percent in the first three quarters of the year in Romania
In Romania, the volume of retail sales grew by 5.2 percent in the first nine months of this year, compared to the same period of last year, according to the Romanian National Statistical Institute.
Growth was mainly due to the sale of foodstuffs and non-foodstuffs, which increased by 6.5 and 6.1 percent respectively. Fuel sales increased by 2 percent.
Seasonally and calendar-adjusted growth was 6 percent.
In September, the volume of retail trade grew by 2.3 percent year-on-year. (MTI)
