Romanian retail sales increased by 4.8 percent in the first half of the year
The volume of retail sales grew by 4.8 percent in Romania in the first half of the year, compared to the same period of last year – the Romanian National Statistics Institute announced on Tuesday.
The growth is primarily due to the 11.5 percent increase of the food, beverages and tobacco sales in the period under review. Fuel sales also increased by 5.8 percent, while non-food sales decreased by 0.9 percent. (MTI)
