Retail turnover in Romania increased by 4.5 percent in the first eleven months of last year
In Romania, according to raw data, the volume of retail trade increased by 4.5 percent in the first eleven months of last year compared to the same period in 2021, the Romanian National Statistical Institute announced on Friday.

The sale of food, beverages and tobacco products increased by 1.7 percent
According to the value adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects, the expansion was 5.2 percent in the examined period. In the first eleven months of last year, the increase according to raw data is mainly due to the sale of fuel, which expanded by 9.4 percent. Non-food items were sold 4.5 percent more, and sales of food, beverages and tobacco products increased by 1.7 percent.
In November last year, the volume of retail trade increased by 4.4 percent according to raw data, and according to the value adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects, it increased by 3 percent compared to the eleventh month of 2021. Compared to October, the volume of retail trade increased by 2 percent according to the raw data, but decreased by 0.1 percent according to the adjusted value.
