Retail sales grew by 4.1 percent in the first quarter of the year in Romania
In Romania, according to raw data, the volume of retail sales increased by 4.1 percent in the first quarter compared to the same period last year, the Romanian National Statistics Institute said.
Seasonally and calendar-adjusted, the increase was 0.8 percent. The increase in raw data is mainly due to non-food products, of which 11.2 percent more were sold. Sales of food, beverages and tobacco products increased by 0.1 percent, while fuel trade fell by 1.6 percent during the period under review. (MTI)
