In Romania, the number of guest nights increased by 37 percent in the first five months of this year

In Romania, the number of guest nights in commercial accommodation increased by 37 percent to 6.467 million in the first five months of this year, compared to the same period last year, the Romanian National Statistics Institute announced on Friday.

Romanian accommodation providers reported nearly 6.5 million guest nights for the first 5 months

The number of nights spent by domestic tourists rose by 22 percent to 5.396 million, while that of foreigners was almost four times higher, reaching 1.071 million.

The number of tourists arriving at commercial accommodation rose by 35 percent to 3.346 million, of which 2.868 million were domestic tourists and 478 thousand were foreigners. (MTI)
