In Romania, the number of guest nights increased by 27.9 percent in the first two months
In Romania, the number of guest nights in commercial accommodation increased by 27.9 percent to 3.038 million in the first two months of this year compared to the same period last year, the Romanian National Statistics Institute announced on Tuesday.
The number of guest nights spent by domestic tourists increased by 19.1 percent to 2.488 million, while that of foreigners rose to 549,300 from last year’s 285,600.
In the first two months, the number of tourists arriving at commercial accommodations increased by 27.4 percent to 1.597 million, the number of domestic tourists increased by 20.6 percent to 1.359 million, while the number of foreigners increased to 238 thousand from 127 thousand in the same period last year.
