In Romania, retail sales increased by 2.4 percent in the first eight months
In Romania, according to raw data, retail sales increased by 2.4 percent in the first eight months compared to the same period last year, the national statistics institute (INS) announced on Wednesday.
According to the seasonally and calendar-adjusted value, the volume of retail trade increased by 2.5 percent year-on-year in the examined period.
According to the raw data, the largest increase of 3.9 percent was registered in the sale of non-food products, and the distribution of food, beverages and tobacco products increased by 3.4 percent year-on-year. Fuel sales decreased by 2 percent compared to the first eight months of the previous year.
