Retail sales increased in Romania by 12.5 percent in the first four months
In Romania, according to raw data, the volume of retail sales increased by 12.5 percent in the first four months of this year, compared to the same period of last year, the Romanian National Statistical Institute announced on Friday.
According to seasonally and calendar-adjusted data, the increase was 8.7 percent during the period under review.
The increase was primarily due to non-food sales which increased by 22 percent, fuel sales rose 9.3 percent, and food, beverages and tobacco products were 5.2 percent higher year-over-year. (MTI)
