In Romania, beer consumption has fallen by 10 percent since the outbreak began
Beer consumption in Romania has fallen by 10 percent since the start of the coronavirus pandemic between March and May, but producers expect the crisis to hit hardest in the third quarter, the Romanian Brewers’ Association announced on Thursday.
The manufacturers have expressed concern about the situation of the Romanian catering industry, because currently the catering units operate only on a flame, they cannot receive guests indoors, only on terraces, and in a limited number as well. In addition, the number of infections in Romania has increased recently and the authorities have announced that the emergency will be extended by thirty days.
