Romania: discount in the mall
The retail rents are falling on the Romanian retail estate market. In the city of Pitesti a contract was signed about bringing a discount into the shopping center.
According to analysts, the decreasing rents became affordable for discounts, which are trying to find new channels, for their cheaper goods in the previously unavailable shopping malls.
Such a drastic decrease in consumer traffic like in Romania, was only measured in the Czech Republic, Bulgaria and Slovakia in the Central and Eastern European region – reports Világgazdaság Online after the article of Romanian Ziarul Financiar.
