Romanian woman became Central Europe’s Somellier Champion
The 1st Central European Sommelier Championship was held between 30 Setember an 1 October in the Diamant Hotel, in Dunakiliti. The event was organized by the Hungarian Sommelier Association and the Bormarketing Műhely Nonprofit Kft. (Wine Marketing Workshop Nonprofit Ltd.).
At the two-day event, seven teams of six countries – Hungary, Croatia, Czech Republic, Poland, Romania (with 2 teams) and Slovakia – a total of 14 sommeliers working in different workplaces were participating.
lulia Scavo professional sommelier from Romania won the competition with a huge margin, followed by Pawel Bialeczki from Poland and Jakub Pribyl from the Czech Republic.
Hungary was repesented by Varga Norbert and Takács Alexandrosz sommeliers. (turizmusonline.hu)
