The Hungarian Food Business Program has arrived in Rome
After Warsaw and Bucharest, the city of Rome hosted the business meeting of the Agrármarketing Centrum, which was the next stop of the Hungarian Food Business Program.
At the two-day event on May 8-9, 2024, 12 Hungarian companies were able to present themselves to potential Italian buyers. Among other things, the domestic companies recommended premium wines, craft beers, foie gras specialties, game meat products, and fruit preparations to the attention of the distributors. According to the Hungarian companies, the programs organized by the AMC represent a huge opportunity for companies wishing to export, since they can negotiate personally with the buyers of the given country.
The Hungarian Academy in Rome hosted a meeting of businessmen jointly organized by the Embassy of Hungary in Rome and the Agricultural Marketing Center. The twelve Hungarian companies were able to present their products to around sixty buyers. According to the companies, the market familiarization day organized on such occasions is also of great help to them, during which they were able to learn about the regulatory, commercial and logistical specificities of the Italian market.
György Simon, the owner and managing director of ABO Holding Kft., is a regular participant in businessmen’s meetings. According to him, the professional international exhibitions and B2B meetings organized by AMC have given and continue to give their export activities a very serious impetus, their extruded products made from corn produced by Hungarian agriculture are already reaching more than ten European countries, but recently their first container also set off for Japan.
