Roland Berger: In a couple of years, peas could displace soy from the plant-based protein market
According to a recent study by Roland Berger, the market for alternative plant proteins will boom significantly over the next five years, but current production capacity is insufficient to meet growing demand. Experts in the sector expect growth of between 9-15% per year. If food companies want to benefit from the projected expansion in demand for plant proteins, they cannot wait until the market is fully reached. They need to formulate their future strategies and vote for that protein today.
