In the second quarter of 2025 Hungarian maritime container traffic produced a 114% rise (compared to the same period last year). The number of semi-trailers transferred from road to rail reached 27,913 in 2024, representing a 21.3% hike vs. 2023.

Ministerial Decree No. 18/2025 (VII. 31.) opens a new era in the Energy Efficiency Obligation System (EKR). “It isn’t just a technical set of rules, but a joint success that shows: when the industry and the government engage in genuine dialogue, tangible long-term results can be achieved”, underlined Koppány Ajtony Bíró, general secretary of the Association of Hungarian Logistics Service Centres (MLSZKSZ). On 9 October the 5th Eastern European Intermodal Conference will take place at the Marriott Hotel in Budapest.
