Revolut: crypto services suspended in Hungary
Revolut is temporarily suspending its crypto services in Hungary, we have been informed by several users. According to the company, due to recent Hungarian legislative changes, they are currently unable to provide these services, but are working to restore them as soon as possible.
According to the change, it is not possible to create new crypto purchase orders, start staking or deposit, however, the sale of crypto assets and the transfer of certain tokens to external wallets are still available.
The background is the salad law adopted by the Parliament on June 17, which introduces two new crimes to the Criminal Code: “misuse of crypto assets” and “providing unauthorized crypto asset exchange services”.
