Hungary Meat bought the Mangalica meat partly from Pick
The Meat sent to Japan as a model was partly bought from Pick Szeged Zrt, partly bought live animals from Mangal Ilon Ltd. which is the company of Moldován András, who is the member of the National Association of Mangalica Breeders – the company said.
Kovács László, Pick Szeged Zrt CEO, said: Hungary Meat Ltd. bought two cardboard – about thirty kilograms – mangalica meat, three months ago, for domestic distribution from the Szeged based company. For the export of goods, a separate veterinary certificate would be required and the meat could be sold in only unopened cartons, with the seal of Pick. The Japanese trader, however marketed the meat as the product of Hungary Meat Ltd. which did not have the certificate of origin of the National Association of Mangalica Breeders – reports Népszabadság Online.
