GMO ban: the U.S. will not give up
It seems that the American and Canadian corporations dealing with genetic engineering do not resign themselves into the much more stringent European GMO consumer protection regulations, and would like to open the door wider to GMO foods and feeds step by step the mno.hu wrote.
According to the European regulations, a productcannot be placed on the market until it is tested that it has not any harmful physiological effects. America, however, reversed the order of proof: the products can be sold, until zhthey prove to be harmful to health or to the environment. (Szabó Anna, Magyar Nemzet Online)
