Rentasystem: domestic leasing market is still buzzing
Domestic and foreign leasing markets are expanding on a large scale, as the latest data show. In Hungary, new car financing increased by 13% and leasing of light commercial vehicles by 11% last year, while the growth of used car imports stopped. We present you Rentasystem’s Annual Market Outlook.
With the exception of the lorry market, all segments have been able to grow, especially leasing of agricultural and construction machinery and other equipment. The boom also saw a 13% expansion in new car financing, complemented by about 8% in operating leasing, so new car financing accounts for 40% of the total leasing market, the Hungarian Leasing Association report. Again, corporate cars and light commercial vehicles were sources of growth. The amount financed by the company increased by 16%, again reaching a market share of 71%. Used car financing increased slightly by 3%.
