The agriculture ministers of the EU will held an emergency meeting on milk prices
The agriculture ministers of the EU wild held an emergency meeting, due to the dairy market crisis leading to very depressed milk price levels – the European Commission announced in Brussels.
The officials will conduct non official consultations with the EU Member States – Enrico Brivio spokesman said at a press conference.
He stated that the European Commission seeks to ensure “fair prices” to the milk producers, however, has not entered into details. He also admitted that the position of producers needs to be improved. (MTI)
