Poultry and sow farmers may require extraordinary support

Pig and poultry farmers affected by the consequences of the Russian-Ukrainian war can apply for new support
The extraordinary crisis management package, totaling 500 million euros, can be used to support the producers most affected by the consequences of the war in Ukraine. Within this framework, Hungary will receive a one-time amount of 6.33 billion HUF, from which the pork and poultry sectors that are in a particularly difficult situation due to exceptionally high feed prices can apply for support in order to maintain food security based on domestic raw materials. The framework amount of the support for poultry farms is 4.33 billion forints, while for pig farms it is 2.0 billion forints. (MTI)
