There is an enormous interest towards the Honey Report
There is an enormous interest in the European Parliament (EP) towards the Honey Report on the situation of the honey sector, Erdős Norbert MEP (Fidesz), the the rapporteur for the report said on Sunday in Budapest, at a press conference.
Erdős Norbert reminded that according to the plans the report had to be approved by the EP commission in November, but the more than 480 amendments delay the approval.
He emphasized that this issue has an utmost importance for Hungary, since after Spain and Romania, it is the third largest honey producing country in the EU. 75 percent of the honey made in Hungary is placed on the EU market. (MTI)
