Regulation for the infection-free swines
The Rural Development Ministry completed the regulation on the rules of the decontamination of the Hungarian pig populattion – the Ministry of Rural Development informed MTI on Monday. The regulation has been published in the Magyar Közlöny (Hungarian Official Gazette) and will enter into force on 31 January.
The Ministry of Rural Development in its Communication emphasizes that if the European Union will also recognize the PRRS-free status, the Hungarian pigs become more salable on the foreign markets, and only PRRS-free animals and propagating materials can be transported into Hungary as well. (MTI)
