Unilever excelled at the developing markets
The British-Dutch Unilever group has increased profits by 15 percent in the final quarter of the last year, compared to the datas of the previous year, mainly due to turnover growth of the emerging markets.
However, because of the price increase of raw materials, profit-ability has declined. The operating profit rate of the manufacturer of consumer products declined by 20 basis points, compared to the previous year. The company, therefore, will soon raise the price of many products, and will decrease its operating costs by 1 billion euros this year – reports ProfitLine.hu.
