The emmissioning of cafeteria vouchers is a successful business
The turnover of the companies emmissioning cafeteria vouchers was billions of forints in 2007. Pre-tax profits were around 50 percent of net sales. The issuers paid hundreds of millions for corporate profit tax.
According to the estimations of the government the total turnover of the cafeteria system could be 517 billion HUF with the turnover of cafeteria vouchers, that has reached 231 billion HUF. The association of Food Voucher Distribution (EUFE), consist of the three market-leading companies: Sodexo Pass – Hungária Ltd., Le Cheque Dejeuner Ltd. and Accor Services Magyarország Ltd. According to EUFE, the main source of revenue for the issuers is the few percent commission that is paid by the acceptors after the production and management of vouchers. In 2007 the turnover of Sodexo – Pass Hungária Ltd. has achieved 2.73 billion HUF, the pre-tax result was more than 1.5 billion HUF and paid 300 million HUF corporate income tax – reports Napi Online.
