A record crop may be harvested this year in the country’s cherry garden
Thanks to the favorable weather, a better than average harvest – both in terms of quality and quantity – in Nagykörű, Szolnok county, that is also called the cherry garden of Hungary – the mayor of Nagykörű told MTI.
Veres Nándor mayor of Nagykörű told that the outlooks are very promising. Because of the mild winter, the plantations survived the cold season without any serious damages and there was no serious cooling with frost in the region during the spring period. (MTI)
