Freight traffic at the Liszt Ferenc Airport was at a record level in the first quarter
Between January and March, the Liszt Ferenc International Airport handled 39.5 thousand tons of cargo, which is a 19 percent increase, compared to the same period of the previous year and represents the strongest quarter in the airport’s history, Budapest Airport Zrt. told MTI on Monday.
They highlighted: 14.9 thousand tons of air cargo were registered in March, which is the strongest monthly cargo traffic ever.
According to the announcement, Kossuth József, the head of cargo at Budapest Airport, said that this year, compared to 134.4 thousand tons last year, air cargo traffic could reach 150 thousand tons. (MTI)
