The 5th Balaton RUN ended with a record number of participants
The 5th dm Balaton RUN took place with a record number of participants in Zamárdi under the #egészenen concept.
The 5th dm Balaton RUN ended with a record number of participants in Zamárdi on Saturday, September 20, 2025. In sunny weather, a total of 1,818 runners from all over the country started, including 188 dm employees, to celebrate the joy of movement and self-expression in the spirit of the drugstore’s #egészenen campaign.
At the event, which was realized in cooperation with dm and Maratonman, every member of the family found the right challenge for them. Depending on their age, level and preparedness, they could choose from the Kölyök Körök, Nordic walking, the Start Futam, as well as the 5.25 km, 10.5 and 21.1 km running distances. The Kellys bike race awaited cyclists. Due to the extreme heat, the organizers provided extra refreshment points to keep participants hydrated.

This year, dm would like to support people in discovering and finding themselves through its #wholemusic campaign, and shaping their lives in a way that best suits their own ideas and desires. The running race was an excellent fit with the campaign’s message, as it created an opportunity for self-expression, self-knowledge, and community support.
In connection with the #wholemusic campaign, visitors to the dm Experience Island could learn about which shades suit them best through color advice, and they could immortalize themselves through a kaleidoscope selfie. Children could make a fan and paint a unique flower pot. Nostalgic adults and enthusiastic children alike enjoyed the “grabbing game”, and in addition to dm branded products, they were also able to learn about the #egészenen campaign messages from the fished-out spheres. In the spirit of sun protection, the educational programs at the dm UV roadshow station could not be missed either, where, in addition to the playful quiz, visitors had the opportunity to apply sunscreen, which was especially necessary in the hot weather. In addition to the dm Experience Island, the day was made more colorful by dm’s supplier partners and all the event’s sponsors.
In the spirit of sustainability, no plastic cups were offered at the running race, garbage was collected selectively, and it was also possible to enter with a unique eco-package, which did not include a race T-shirt and was available to those interested at a more favorable price.
