The 2026 Lamb Days program ended with record participation

The Lamb Days, held between March 28 and 29, 2026, were a great success: this year’s program was realized with greater interest than ever before. A record number of 48 restaurants joined the initiative from different parts of the country, so the event awaited those interested with a wider geographical coverage and gastronomic offer than ever before. During the two days, approximately 18,000 guests met with the program.

In addition to the leading restaurants in Budapest, the leading units in Transdanubia, the Great Plain and Northern Hungary were also among the participating catering establishments. All this clearly shows that the program serving to popularize lamb has now become of national importance. The chefs’ creative, modern and traditional dishes contributed to the guests getting to know this excellent ingredient from a new perspective.

This is clear feedback that both the profession and the guests are constantly increasing their interest in quality lamb. Our goal was to involve as many regions as possible, and we have now succeeded in achieving this, as practically the entire country was represented”

The success of the event is confirmed not only by the number of participating restaurants, but also by the enthusiastic feedback from the guests: many visited a restaurant specifically for the Lamb Days to taste the special dishes.

However, the organizers emphasize that the promotion of lamb does not end with the Lamb Days. The program will continue in the second half of the year: in the fall, tastings will be organized in several prominent shopping centers, where interested parties can try various lamb snacks.
