Record increase in the number of overnight stays in the EU
The number of overnight stays (guest nights) in the European Union (EU) broke a record in 2013.
The number of overnight stays increased by 1.6 percent to 2.6 billion, compared to the previous year – Eurostat announced.
Eurostat reports that the number of overnight stays in the EU increases every year since 2003. Only in 2008 and 2009 was a lower stagnation, because of the financial and economic crisis. (MTI)
