Last year set a record in hotel construction

Significant growth was seen in hotel construction last year, and in 2019 the record value of investments entering the construction phase broke all records so far – portfolio.hu wrote. The total amount of start-up projects totaled 77 billion HUF, which is an increase of 77-83 percent compared to 2017 and 2018, according to the EBI Construction Activity Report.

The above amount was distributed between 52 percent and 48 percent between the capital and the rest of the country, with a total of more than 40 billion HUF in hotel construction work in Budapest and 37 billion HUF in Rural Activity Start.
