The euro zone trade surplus has reached a record
The euro zone trade surplus reached a record in March, according to the first estimate of the European Union’s statistical office. Eurostat’s report was published on Tuesday.
In the third month of this year, the euro zone’s trade surplus was 30.9 billion euros, after the 28.2 billion euros of March last year. Analysts have expected a surplus of 17.8 billion euros.
The euro area exports in annual comparision increased by 13 percent to 202.3 billion euros in March, while imports increased by 17 percent to 171.4 billion euros in March. (MTI)
