Vietnamese tourism broke a record in August
According to the official announcement the number of tourists visiting the country rose by 35.1 percent to 1.23 million in August.
The reason for the significant increase is that the government has facilitated the visa rules for some Western European countries, including Britain, France, Germany, Spain and Italy, and the Vietnamese travel agencies have expanded their program offerings as well.
The number of visitors from Asia grew by 43.2 percent, from Australia by 20.9 percent, from the US by 12.5 percent, and from Europe by 9.4 percent. (MTI)
