Alibaba set a record
On the occasion of Singles Day China’s Alibaba reached record sales – 268.4 billion yuan (11,577 billion HUF) worth of products were sold, which is a 26 percent increase, compared to last year’s record – CNBC reports.
Singles Day is being held for the 11th year, launching the “feast” with Alibaba itself, announcing huge discounts through its trading platforms. Since then, many rivals, such as JD.com or Pinduoduo, have started selling their products around November 11. (portfolio.hu)
