The revenue of Budapesti Gyógyfürdői és Hévízei Zrt. set a record last year
The revenue of Budapest Gyógyfürdői és Hévízei (BGYH) Zrt. set a record last year: according to preliminary data, it was close to HUF 23 billion compared to the planned HUF 19.7 billion, the profit after tax will also significantly exceed HUF 5 billion – the company announced with MTI.
BGYH’s business plan also states that this year’s sales revenue will be increased to HUF 24 billion. They wrote that the good results are primarily due to the three-year business strategy that was put together in 2020: they primarily sought to increase the sales revenue per guest, and international prices were set for the services of the historic baths, thus reaching the minimum price level for European historic baths. Significant discounts will continue to be provided to the domestic clientele with the Zsigmondy Club Card and the increasingly popular pass schemes, they said.
From January 8, 2024, the price of admission to the baths of BGYH changed by between 5 and 12 percent, and the new prices were differentiated. In the case of spas visited by the domestic clientele – taking last year’s inflation into account, but remaining well below it – a 5-6 percent increase can be expected. This year, a 10-12 percent increase in tickets was introduced in the historical baths popular among foreigners. In European terms, they have now reached the minimum price of spas with similar properties and classification – usually ensuring a stay of 2-3 hours – they announced.
