OMV Hungária supports the Maltese Charity Service with a record amount
The annual fundraising campaign of the Hungarian Maltese Charity and OMV Hungária ended with outstanding results this year. Thanks to the customers of the filling station network, 8.4 million forints were collected in just one month, which the charity will use to implement next year’s Youth Disabled Camp. The program has been an important support for young people with disabilities for years, who can experience the joy of belonging to the community with the support of specially trained volunteers.
“The result of our collaboration has shown once again that social responsibility really works when as many people as possible stand behind it,” said Ján Hrivnák, Managing Director of OMV Hungária. “We are grateful to everyone who participated in this year’s campaign. We are proud that we can contribute to the important and value-creating work of the Maltese Charity Service with the support of the community.”
The charity campaign took place in November, in the framework of which OMV donated 1 forint for every liter sold to the aid organization in connection with the purchase of premium MaxxMotion fuels.
Thanks to the donation, the Youth Disabled Camp can be held next year as well, where participating young people can relax in a safe, accepting and inspiring environment, try themselves in various programs, and build long-term relationships.
“Every year, the camp provides a space for encounters that have a profound impact on both the young campers and the volunteers,” emphasized Ágnes Hajnal, head of corporate and community relations at the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service. “Here, not only physical barriers are dissolved, but also prejudices. Shared experiences build real bridges between the participants.”
The Hungarian Maltese Charity Service supports tens of thousands of people in need through its institutions, educational programs and extensive volunteer network operating throughout the country. Civil and corporate cooperation plays an important role in maintaining this. OMV Hungária has been a partner of the Charity Service for years, and they regularly launch joint fundraising campaigns in order to provide assistance to the widest possible range of those who need it most.
