Foreign tourists spent a record amount in Spain
A record amount of over 37 billion euros was spent by foreign tourists who visited Spain during the first half of this year, according to the Spanish Statistical Office (INE).
According to the agency’s figures this is 14.8 percent more than in the same period of last year.
In January-June British tourists spent the most in Spain; 7.5 billion euros, followed by the Germans with 5.3 billion and the French by 2.7 billion euros. (MTI)
