UK inflation at record high
Uk inflation accelerated to a record high in January. The Office for National Statistics (ONS) said on Wednesday that the 12-month Consumer Price Index (CPI), excluding housing costs, rose 5.5 per cent last month from 5.4 per cent in December, 5.1 per cent in November, 4.2 per cent in October and 3.1 per cent in September.
