The international Generali Group closed the year 2023 with record indicators
The results of the international Generali Group:
- Gross premium income increased to EUR 82.5 billion (+5.6%) in 2023, thanks to strong growth in the property (P&C) segment (+12%).
- Operating profit exceeded EUR 6.9 billion (+7.9%), thanks to the contribution of all segments, led by property insurance (P&C). The Combined Ratio increased to 94% (-1.4 p.p.). New Business Margin was excellent, reaching 5.78% (+0.09 p.p.).
- Adjusted profit after tax closed at a record high of 3,575 million euros (+14.1%).
- The capital position of the company group remains stable, its solvency ratio is 220% (which was 221% in the financial year 2022).
- The proposed dividend of EUR 1.28 per share (+10.3%) confirms the company’s strong focus on rewarding shareholders and meeting the cumulative dividend target for 2022-2024.
