U.S. retail sales fell by a record high in April
In April, retail sales in the United States fell to an unprecedented rate, both compared to the previous month and a year earlier – according to a report by the Census Bureau of Statistics in Washington.
In April, seasonal and calendar adjusted retail sales in the United States fell by 16.4 percent instead of the expected 12.0 percent from the previous month, the largest ever drop recorded. The monthly decline was 8.3 percent in March. (MTI)
