A record amount of beer was brewed in the Czech breweries last year
A record volume of 20.076 million hectoliters of beer was brewed in the Czech Republic last year, which compared in an annual comparision is a rise of 2.2 percent.
The higher production was stimulated mainly by exports, which is increased by over 13 percent – the Czech Association of Breweries announced in Prague on Thursday.
It is clear from the statistics that a Czech citizen consumed 143 liters of beer per person last year, a liter less than in 2014. The moderate decline in beer consumption in the Czech Republic lasts for four years. (Kokes János, MTI)
