Kifli.hu customers ordered a record amount of liquid this summer
Kifli.hu customers ordered a record amount of juice, water and other drinks this summer. During the heat wave and holidays, interest in alcoholic products increases. According to the online supermarket, among alcoholic beverages, flavored beer, dry white wine, cider and prosecco are the most popular products. Almost one million liters of alcoholic beverages have been purchased at Kifli so far in the summer months.
Flavored, low-alcohol beers, ciders, dry white wines and proseccos are the most popular summer alcoholic beverages, according to Kifli.hu data. So far, about 900 thousand liters of alcoholic beverages have been purchased at the online supermarket during the summer, with roughly one in twenty baskets containing such products. The number of orders containing alcoholic beverages clearly starts to rise in the second half of the week, with Thursday, Friday and Saturday usually being the “peak days” in this category.
Kifli offers products from around 150 Hungarian brands in the alcoholic beverages category. Customers’ favorites include domestic craft beers, domestic spirits and gins. The online supermarket also works with several Hungarian wineries, and a significant portion of its wine and champagne sales are made up of products from Hungarian wineries.
During the heat wave, in addition to non-alcoholic, lower-alcohol, summer-flavored, “lighter” drinks, the popularity of smaller, compact products also increases. The beer and cider categories in the online supermarket’s offer are clearly seasonal, and there has also been an increase in interest in ready-to-drink cocktails. The latter category launched at Kifli this summer with a much wider selection than in previous years, and the positive reaction of customers is indicated by the noticeable increase in sales of these products. The most popular drinks here include Bacardi Breezer, Le Coq cocktails, Carly’s gin&tonic, Bobby’s gin&tonic and Laposa wine cocktails.
On August 13th, we celebrate International Prosecco Day, and those planning to shop at Kifli for the occasion can choose from more than a dozen bubbly wonders. The online supermarket also offers a wide range of cocktail accessories and ingredients, from artisanal ice to fresh herbs and gin and tonic spice blends. But we can also mention citrus and exotics such as passion fruit, which is one of the ingredients of the Pornstar Martini.
At Kifli, customers can choose from 340 products in the beer and cider category, 520 types of wine, 50 types of gin, 28 types of vodka and 42 types of whiskey. You can also find special, exclusive products on the Kifli “shelves” such as Brew Your Mind beers, Budaprés cider, Mad Scientist and Horizont limited edition beers, Lolea Sangria and wine cocktails, Misi’s gin, Moena vermouth, 24ICE ice cocktail, Rácz Lilla Brut Nature, Turay Pincészet, La Tordera prosecco. After the summer season, in the fall, the Monyo and Kifli collab beer will arrive.
Kifli.hu can also serve a wide selection for those who prefer non-alcoholic refreshments. Non-alcoholic wines, liqueurs and champagnes are available, as well as alcohol- and gluten-free beers. Soft drinks include special kombuchas, Mad Scientist mate teas, SipSap birch water, and producer, artisanal syrups. The selection is completed by dozens of fruit and vegetable juices, including many organic ones, among which the private label Pappudia juices offer an outstanding price-value ratio.
