Record yield in summer crops
There was a record harvest of autumn wheat, barley and rapeseed this year – informed the Ministry of Agriculture. 5.1-5.2 million tons of autumn wheat was harvested, 10 percent more than the average of the last five years. More than 1.4 million tons of autumn barley ended up in the warehouses – 66 percent more than the average of the last five years. This summer’s rapeseed yield was 810,000 tons, 50 percent more than the average of the last five years.
