Record traffic is expected in summer sailing on Lake Balaton

The Balatoni Hajózási Zrt. (Bahart), which is counting on the breaking of previous traffic records, has expanded its summer schedule, launched online ticketing, renewed its image and renewed its fleet for this summer’s season – was announced at a launch conference on the lake on a catamaran on Friday.

CEO Veigl Gábor said that in the first five months of the year, the ferry traffic was 35 percent higher than last year’s record year, with nearly 90,000 passengers, and the number of bicycles transported increased by 50 percent. Since the start of the shipping season, the ships have been carrying more than twice as many passengers as in 2021. (MTI)
