Budapest Airport pays summer bonus to its employees after record traffic
Budapest Airport is giving a gross bonus of 200,000 forints to all shift and office employees in recognition of their outstanding performance during the summer season, the company confirmed to Index.
The period between June and August is the busiest for the airport every year, but this year a new record was set: monthly passenger traffic exceeded 1.8 million, breaking all previous records.
In addition to the huge flow of passengers, employees also had to deal with extreme weather conditions, including the storm in early July, which posed a serious challenge to operations. According to Budapest Airport, despite this, there were no significant disruptions, which is primarily due to the persistent work of its employees.
The airport management emphasized that the bonus goes to all affected employees, regardless of their position, as the entire airport community contributed to the smooth operation.
