Record sales at eMAG during the heat wave: air conditioners and fans lead the way
The hottest days of this summer have greatly affected the sales of the eMAG online store and its partners. According to the company’s announcement, the highest number of room fans were ordered on July 16, while sales of air conditioners peaked on July 5, which was due to the hottest days of the year.
With the onset of heat, it is not surprising that the demand for air conditioners and then fans jumped significantly at the beginning of last week. Sales of air conditioners returned to normal as the heat wave eased, but demand for fans remained high. Customers mainly chose standing or tower fans, which can be explained by the favorable prices.
Based on this year’s sales statistics, more than half of the top 20 fans are tower or standing fans, while table and floor-mounted models both represent around 15 percent. It is interesting to mention that among the popular models of the online store there are also wearable neck cooling fans and air cooling fans that can be filled with ice cubes.
Among air conditioners, split air conditioners lead the list. In eMAG’s own distribution and that of its partners, nearly 80 percent of the thirty most popular devices were split air conditioners, while mobile air conditioners represented just over 10 percent. The remainder was made up of various accessories such as spoilers.
