The Budapest Wine Festival and the Charity Wine Auction of the Hungarian Maltese Charity ended with record revenue
The Budapest Wine Festival and the Charity Wine Auction of the Hungarian Charity Service of Malta ended with revenue beyond imagination.
Eight years ago, the participants of the wine auction were able to meet the children who were on the new path of catching up. The first swallows were boys and girls around ten years old wearing the white T-shirts of the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service, and the auction resulted in the highest revenue in the history of charity evenings. Acknowledging the results of the Symphony program, the Ministry of the Interior announced a tender in 2020 to spread the method. 3,200 children in 200 settlements were given the opportunity to learn instrumental music in tune with social work. The mission of the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service continues in this area as well. Currently, 50 music teachers work with 700 children.
The Symphony Program does not look for talent, but rather helps bring out the abilities inherent in every child and promotes the successful completion of high school. At the same time, a number of musical talents also appeared, from which a band of varying composition was formed. They performed abroad, at several venues in Hungary, together with the Óbuda Danubia Orchestra three times at the Academy of Music. Concerts and performing in front of the community are increasingly becoming a part of their lives. The next step is for children living in remote settlements to be able to travel with their own minibus to joint rehearsals and performances, which is why the objective of the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service at this year’s Charity Wine Auction was to acquire such a vehicle.
