Record in number of visitors, and in revenue on the Sziget Festival
According to the report of econet.hu a record number of visitors (390 thousand) took part on the festival. Despite the decrease in sponsorship revenues, Sziget closed with a 150 million HUF plus, which is a 50 percent growth compared to 2008.
The Music Against Racism event which was held on 11th August 2009 however, closed with a loss so it will reduce the positive financial results of the whole festival.
With the closing of the Sziget Festival Sziget Kft. puts on end of this year’s summer festival organizing work. From the autumn, the company will prepare for next year's events – reports TőzsdeFórum Online.
