A record number of students are starting their studies in the field of food science
This year, more than ever, 3,367 students were admitted to the courses of the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE) starting in September, which represents a 32 percent increase compared to last year, the institution informed MTI on Thursday.
They added: more than half of the first-year students, 1,708 students, begin their studies in the field of agricultural and food science, which is developing at an extraordinary pace, which is also extremely important from the point of view of the national economy.
“The record high number of first-year students admitted to MATE clearly shows that trust in our institution is constantly growing and that the foundation’s operating form has also confirmed the hopes attached to it”
– Rector Csaba Gyuricza was quoted in the announcement.
