This year’s World Tour Guides Day ended with a record number of participants. The Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BKIK) has been bringing visitors closer to the capital’s values and hidden treasures for more than two decades as part of the series of tourist programs.
BKIK informed MTI on Wednesday: February 21-25. between thematic walks, guided tours, building tours and museum visits started in different parts of Budapest. On the occasion of the World Tour Guides Day, the capital’s tour guides invite those interested to free or discounted city tours every year.
This year, more than 2,000 people took part in the 120 pedestrian tours organized by BKIK, while the additional 25 bus and 9 boat sightseeing programs, as well as the 4 local history tram routes, attracted around 2,000 tourists, so a total of nearly 5,000 participants got to know the capital and its surroundings. landmarks. Rural settlements also participated in the program, so there were guided walks in Érd, Gödöllő, Vác and Noszvaj.
