Record participation at the Hungarian stand at the free products exhibition in Vienna
The Agrármarketing Centrum participated for the first time in the Free From exhibition for free, plant-based, organic and specialty foods and beverages in Vienna.
The event, which will take place on June 17-18, 2025, is also an excellent professional forum for all those looking for the latest trends, opportunities and business contacts in the free products market. Nearly 300 exhibitors from more than 60 countries will participate in the two-day event, and approx. 5,000 professional visitors will arrive from all over the world. The exhibition focuses on free foods – such as gluten-free, lactose-free, sugar-free, vegan and organic products – i.e. foods that offer a safe alternative for those who follow a special diet for health reasons or as a conscious decision.
The Agrármarketing Centrum appeared at the Vienna event with an impressive presence, on a 174 square meter community stand, with the participation of 24 companies. The products include practically every product group of this kind: gluten, lactose or sugar-free foods, snacks, flour mixes, but also gluten-free beer. The exhibition creates an excellent opportunity for the international market, especially Austrian and Central European buyers, to get to know the innovative, health-conscious products of the Hungarian food industry. The day before the opening of the exhibition, on June 16, the Hungarian participants were able to take part in a special factory visit organized by the Free Working Group of the National Chamber of Agriculture, to the IREKS-STAMAG gluten-free bakery factory.
Free From not only offers product introductions, but also the opportunity to establish new business relationships. In this spirit, the Hungarian “Free From” Food Business Event was organized as the closing event of the first exhibition day, which was jointly organized by the Embassy of Hungary in Vienna, the CED Central European Economic Development Network Nonprofit Ltd., the Agricultural Marketing Center and the HEPA Hungarian Export Development Agency. The networking evening, which was combined with the reception, aimed to connect Hungarian manufacturers with buyers in the region, especially importers from Austria and neighboring countries. The event was attended by 30 Hungarian companies and 70 local buyers.
The market for free products in Hungary has been growing dynamically in recent years, which is also due to the health-conscious lifestyle, the increase in food intolerances and conscious nutrition. According to some surveys, more than half (58 percent) of the population regularly or occasionally consumes special or free food. The demand for free products stems not only from health reasons, but also from conscious nutritional choices.
